Fishlock Scores Cymru’s First-Ever Goal at Women’s Major Tournament

Reign FC midfielder Jess Fishlock made history on Wednesday as Wales took on France in their second of three EURO group stage matches. The 38-year-old scored Cymru’s first-ever goal in a women’s major tournament, adding the lone goal of the match for Wales in the 13th minute. She also became the oldest player to score a goal in UEFA Women’s EURO history.

Wales will head back to St Gallen on Sunday for their final Group D fixture against England. In order to reach the knockout round of the tournament, they must win by five goals, while hoping that France are victorious over Netherlands.
